Friday 25 - Sunday 27 March 2022
Cost: Varied rates
Join us for our annual conference at the Copthorne Hotel, Salford, Greater Manchester. With a theme of "Collections, Collectors and Collecting", the programme includes our usual mix of short members' papers, invited speakers, visits and a chance to socialise with good food and company.
Our invited speakers include Dr James Sumner (Manchester University), Dr Rachel Webster (Manchester Museum) and Lindsay Berry (RHS Bridgewater). We have an exciting range of shorter members' papers showcasing their recent research, alongside a number of posters. We look forward to visiting the John Rylands Research Institute and Library with a specially-organised session to see pharmacy history highlights from their collections. There is also the option to visit the Manchester School of Pharmacy and view items from the Manchester Museum of Medicine and Health as a pre-conference session on Friday 25 March.
We offer a range of conference rates including full residential (including 2 nights accommodation, all meals, talks sessions and visits), non-residential and day rates. Students are welcome to join our Saturday morning and Sunday morning talks sessions for free - but please still complete and return a booking form.
The full programme and booking form are available here. The booking deadline is Friday 4 March 2022. Any queries, please contact Briony Hudson, BSHP Conference Organiser
